What We Believe

· We believe there is only one God. He is the author of all creation. He spoke the worlds into existence, and everything that is, either directly or indirectly, exists because of Him.

· We believe that God exists in three distinct persons; God the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.

· We believe that the Bible is completely true, accurate and fully the inspired word of God. It is the only true source for Doctrine, and any teaching that contradicts the Bible is not of God.

· We believe that because of the transgression and fall of Adam, sin and death were ushered into this world, and that all men are now born into sin, and are in need of salvation.

· We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten son. He was born of a Virgin, and though He was tempted as all men, He lived a sinless life. He paid for our healing by the stripes he bore on His back. He ransomed our souls by his death and atonement on the cross. He was raised from the dead. He ascended to the father where He now intercedes for those who believe in Him. He will return again to claim His bride, the Church. John 14:3, 1 Pet. 2:21-22, Eph. 4:10, 1 John 2:1, John 14:2, Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24.

· We believe that regeneration through the atonement of Jesus Christ is the only way to inherit eternal life. Rom. 3:25 & Heb. 2:17

· We believe that Jesus gave clear instructions as to our purpose here on earth as his followers...based on scriptures found in Matthew 28 and Mark 16; this purpose has been dubbed “The Great Commission”...very simply put, to reach the world with the saving message of Jesus Christ, making disciples. Every function of Harvest Fellowship should have this end in mind.

· We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit. That the Gifts of the Spirit are still available to believers today, including: Words of Wisdom and Knowledge, Faith, Healing, Working of Miracles, Prophecy, Discernment, Tongues, and Interpretation of Tongues. And that these Gifts are given by the Holy Sprit as He wills. Titus 3:5, 1 Cor. 6:19, 1 Cor. 12:11, 2 Cor. 1:22, John 16:8, Matt. 3:11, Acts 1:8

Baptism

· We practice Water Baptism by immersion, and believe that Water Baptism is a direct command of the Lord, and that it is for believers only. As one is Baptized, not only are they being obedient, but they are acknowledging their identification with Christ, His death, burial and resurrection. Romans 6:3-7.

Communion

· We practice open Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, meaning that all believers should feel free to partake. WE partake in this ordinance as symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our Salvation. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.
